谷口弘明プロフィール / Hiroaki Taniguchi Profile
1937年に京都市で生まれ、1956年より染色図案を学び始めました。1976年に個人スタジオを開設し、装飾画家としての活動を開始しました。萬葉会絵画教室を主宰し、元日本図案家協会会員としても活躍されていました。京友禅図案家として多くの賞を受賞し、近年は琳派の流れをくむ新琳派として装飾画を制作しています。彼の作品は全国百貨店美術画廊で個展を開催され、京都市長賞、京都府知事賞等を受賞するなど、多くの評価を得ています。
Hiroaki Taniguchi was born in Kyoto in 1937 and began studying dyeing patterns in 1956.
In 1976, he opened his own studio and began his career as a decorative painter.
He presided over the Manyokai painting class and was also a former member of the Japan Designers Association.
He has won many awards as a Kyo Yuzen designer, and in recent years has been producing decorative paintings as part of the Shinrin school, which is a descendant of the Rin school.
His works have received much praise, including solo exhibitions held at art galleries in department stores nationwide, and awards such as the Kyoto City Mayor's Award and the Kyoto Prefectural Governor's Award.
